A website built to educate customers

Rest Haven is a bedding company that is expanding into furniture. After success in their products, they realized that they need a website to further develop their branding strategy.

THE PROJECT

The project is to design and develop a website for Rest Haven. My task was to lead the project from start to finish; from research, design, development, launch, and post-launch analysis. This includes working with developers, copywriters, brand managers, and other departments.

OVERARCHING WEBSITE STRATEGY

The main strategy helps customers by providing educational materials of the products. Since Rest Haven’s customer base has a wide set of demographics, the website is also built as a research tool to hone in on customer personas and their buying habits.

This was achieved while working within standard website and ecommerce practices; like responsive website development, ADA regulations, and social verification.

PRODUCT PAGES

After evaluating the customer purchasing journey, the product listing pages became the main entrances to our website. Those pages were designed to help develop stronger brand positioning through the Rest Haven conversion funnel.

SOCIAL PROOF

Reviews and FAQs were added onto the website. This helps create a better customer experience by providing social proof and brand credibility for Rest Haven.

The blog is there to provide more credibility for RestHaven as well as a boost with SEO results.

CROSS-SELLING INTEGRATION

The product pages have  a section where you can click other Rest Haven products shown in pictures. This helps users easily find other products they like in our product lines.

NAVIGATION AND ARCHITECTURE

The architecture is built with the bedroom furniture expansion in mind. While Rest Haven has a wide variety of bedding products, their furniture section does not. For now, furniture is grouped under one category due to limited products. The plan is to eventually transition bedding and furniture into two mega categories with their own product feature pages.
